Just upgraded my Macbook to the latest Firefox version because I had an issue deleting bookmarks. Could go to "organize bookmarks" but only the ones in folders or the ones just added showed. Most had been unorganized, so I'm stuck with them.

New Firefox won't let me delete any at all. If I click on the star icon in the bookmarks toolbar per the support instructions, and a menu appears with all the old bookmark options EXCEPT organize bookmarks. According to instructions, clicking here should produce a box with options for editing.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
