Since a couple of days Firefox suddenly started to crash on some pages, e.g. www.sueddeutsche.de. This happens also in safe mode.

That looks like a problem with a font.

Did you install any new fonts lately?

It may be difficult to identify that font if it makes Firefox crash.

Some fonts used on that site that you can check: 

arial
helvetica
georgia
Times New Roman
Baskerville
