Each time I click on Firefox icon in Windows 7 startmenu/taskbar Firefox launches an ne w instance instead of activating/switching to an existing runing instance of Firefox.

I believe the above wasn#T true with FF9. My FF tab options "open new tab instead of new window" is checked.

That's how it works in FF9 too. I just tried it using the start-menu, and it opened in two separate instances.
