In FF22, the Personas "My Favorites" link under "Tools" goes to the Russian version. Why?

I just upgraded to FF22, and now when I use "Tools > My Favorites > Go to My Favorites", it defaults to the Russian version of Personas Add-ons:

https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/collections/mine/favorites/?src=personas-plus-1.7.2.1

This is odd (and slightly disturbing) since I'm in the U.S. and can't read the Cyrillic language. Has my account been confused with another? Or have I been hacked and don't know it? Ha. Though half serious. Thanks.

Which language version is opened if you remove /ru in the path?

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can open about:config via the location bar and search for prefs that refer to that site and reset these prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu.

Thank you for the very prompt response. And yes, of course, removing /ru it defaults to the Eng-US.

But is it possible to shed some insight into why its preference is currently set to Russia at all? I've never been to that version of the site so I'm baffled why it has been set that way at all.

Also, many of the potentially applicable prefs in about:config do not allow "Reset". It's grayed out.

Be careful with changing prefs. Only if a pref is really about your persona favorites and created by the Personas Plus extension and links to the RU website (i.e. starts with extensions.) then you can try to reset this pref.

Prefs that have the default value and aren't bold can't be reset as they already have the default value.

Thanks. None of the persona prefs in about:config explicitly reference any login links. Let alone /ru/ versions. They point to the json file in personas/cache. Which I've opened and searched for any instances of "/ru/firefox/collections/" with no luck. I give up. I can manually edit the url to point to the en-US obviously. But that it is default pointing to Russian is troubling in and of itself still.

(I even uninstalled and re-installed the personas plug-in and still the same Russian default.)
