Hi

Sometimes i need to find something in the history in firefox.

So i click "view/sidebar/history". Then sort it by "By last visited".

Now the most anoying thing happen:

Mostly when i am looking for something i need to scroll down in the history. Once if find the links i am interested in, and click on them the scrolled down history automaticly move to the top/begining of the history list. Which means that i must again croll down and look for the aproximate place of interest in my browsing history. This is a big problem when there are hundreds of history entries.

Is there a way to undo the auto scrolling to the top, after clicking on history entries ? Its almost like a bug.

Not a direct answer, just a workaround; but would using the view By Date and Site help (0r maybe opening the list as a tab also or as a History Library Window { ctrl+ Shift +H } in Windows and Linux )

Note that Firefox creates a new history entry with the current last visit date/time when you click one of the links in the history and Firefox only shows the last (most recent) visit to a specific URL.
The disappearance of the currently selected history entry entry will make Firefox move to the top of the list and makes it more difficult to go back to the previous position in the history.
