For some reason I have to click the "Sign IN" button twice. The first time nothing happens, doesn't seem to even try. The second time it always works. Try in IE and it works the first time.

In FF I select the username from a pull down and FF fills in the username and password, but not in IE.

And here is the key!!! It only requires a second click if I let FF fill in the username and password, if I type it in, one clicks work.

FF version 35.0.1 but it did it on prior versions, not sure when started, as not a big deal.

Anyone heard of this before, seems to only be Yahoo mail,

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Did as you suggested and all was well. Then I started disabling addons and testing Yahoo Logon one at a time, I only have a few, figured it might be noscripts or tabmix plus, but it wasn't. Then thought it was CookieCuller. After disabeling CookieCuller Yahoo mail logon didn't take two clicks. I said that is the problem, no I was wrong. Then I went back in and enabled CookieCuller and Yahoo stilled worked. I will keep looking.

Thanks for the help.

Well after a few hours Yahoo went back to requiring two clicks, sometimes restarting fixed the problem, but it always returned, not a big issue, just wondering why.

Safe mode has never required two clicks, but I don't stay in safe mode very long. Now I have disabled hardware acceleration and for now one clicks is working.

I have a similar problem with items like weather radar pages. I have to click update twice in order to see the current image / time stamp. Just takes the expected one click for Chrome. I'm running on Fedora Linux.

I started a separate question regarding the radar update "two click" issue. Here's a page to see if others might have the same problem.
