When I click on a link on one page, Firefox takes me to a new page with list of results from the Yahoo! search engine, not to the page I wanted. Why?
This happens repeatedly, whether I'm clicking on an item in a list of results in a search engine or whether I'm on a web page and click a link on that page. If I hit the back button and try clicking the item I want again, I sometimes get there. It may take me two or three tries, each time being first taken to the unwanted list of results from the Yahoo! search engine. This just started happening and is driving me crazy.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>)<Shift> A)
In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove Yahoo Anything. Now do the same in the computers Programs Folder.
Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.
