All of a sudden my history is gone, bookmarks still ok. All history gone, now history and Top sites showing from my synced Android device.

My places.sqlite file was at around 90mb in size, rebooted pc and opened Firefox, now the places.sqlite is only 10mb, and the history that is showing is the history from my Android phone and not my PC.. i had alot of important history that i am needing to recover. Bookmarks are all there as normal, the only thing missing is the history, and top sites which are now both showing from my Phone..

No, there is no places.sqlite.CORRUPT... nothing.

I tried to Sync my PC to Android Firefox the other day and it never worked properly. On my PC i could only see Open Tabs on my phone, but not History or Bookmarks.

On phone, i can not see bookmarks or history from PC.

Both Phone and PC where setup correctly to sync all history, and bookmarks.

How can i get back the last version of my places.sqlite ? The one that was 90mb, which i am guessing contains all that history that i need..

You can check in Windows Explorer if there is a previous version of the places.sqlite file available.

  • Right-click: Properties > Previous Versions

Thanks for the reply. That option is not available to me when i right click and open Properties, there is no "Previous Versions" tab or anything.

Another thought, seeing that i have had sync setup on my pc for some time now, shouldnt all my history that i have lost be backed up somewhere on a mozilla server in the cloud? isnt that the whole point of sync? as a backup tool? Cant find any way to actually contact Mozilla support to retrieve this...

Anyone know how ?

Anyone? Surely there is someway that i can contact Firefox and request an older copy of my places.sqlite before that it somehow messed up?

Ive had sync going for months, they have to be able to give me a copy of that information for me right? My history is sync's.. History is all i need
