Hello! Recently i keep getting unresponsive script when scrolling down to 5 posts or more on facebook and I have to re-open it to make it work. Sometimes firefox stops responding and I have to force close it. And at one time, my computer froze for like 2-3 minutes. I even tried to disable all add-ons, running on safe mode, and even refreshing firefox (help>troubleshoot information) but still no luck.

Again, this only happens on FACEBOOK.

Thanks!

Hi   !

Would you take a look at the article :

Warning Unresponsive script - What it means and how to fix it

If you have any script blocking extensions, like NoScript or YesScript, would you please make sure that they do not block JavaScript on Facebook  ?

I did but it still persists. And as what I stated, I ran firefox with all add-ons disabled, so I doubt it has something to do with the extensions. Thanks for the response!

Please go to add/remove and uninstall your java. Then get new java from http://java.com

I think possible corruption. This will confirm it or we look at something else to resolve the issue.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

NOTE: I misread the question and some how missed the word " script " MY Bad

Unresponsive scripts can be caused by a number of reasons. The problem is their error messages often don’t relate to the real cause, but merely are a result of a system slightly hanging, resulting in timeouts that lead to some script "not responding" within a certain amount of time.

However, rather than guessing and reading many threads about what caused it for someone and not for another, you may get some results by using Windows Event Viewer, probably the Applications log. Take note of any unusual errors logged for specific applications, including crashes that may not even be noticed during normal Windows operation. Then make sure all drivers and other (external) software components are up to date in the Device Manager by searching for them from there, not limited to the ones for (both?) your graphics cards but any device that uses drivers and/or software from another vendor than Microsoft. Then reboot and see if that helps. (source)

Please note that the best way to troubleshoot and reproduce an issue is to have no add-ons installed at all, since in rare cases, add-ons can still affect Firefox when disabling them or when running Firefox in Safe Mode. In other words, try running a new/clean profile in order to make sure a "default" Firefox install is (also) affected.

okay, so at this moment it seems the error went away. not sure what caused it though, maybe it had something to do with facebook itself. Anyway, thanks everyone!
