My setting from the first start "When Firefox starts" is "Show your windows and tabs from last time", because I repeatedly use same web applications. There are (always) 4 tabs in 1 window open when I'm closing Firefox, and all of the tabs are pinned.

However, on every new start Firefox is opening those 4 pinned tabs and one additional new tab, nevertheless it wasn't open the last time I have closed the window.

How to prevent this behavior?

Thank you in advance!

If you close Firefox with only pinned tabs open then Firefox will open a normal tab on the next start. You can't prevent this from happening.

Just a plain new tab, like if you would klick the "+" in the tab bar.

Have you tried it with out Ublock Origin and the Cisco Extension ?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Please try the above. If can do what you want then it is a Extension or a setting.

If not : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Type about:config<enter> in the address bar. If a warning screen comes up, press the I Accept the Risk button. At the top of the screen is a search bar. Type browser.startup.homepage

What is the value?

The value is "about:home". Interesting, after the first restart after changing it into "-" there was no new tab. But in the second restart appeared again, with error "unknown URL", of course... That's why this problem is still unsolved.

So to say, it's not a bug - it's a feature. Well, than OK...
