Why can't I get Waterfox to remember logins and passwords without "Synching"
I use Waterfox, specifically for an online game I play. I use it for the 64 bit capacity. Until a couple updates ago, it saved my logins and passwords fine, but after a recent update...I am currently using 46.0.1, the more recent ones create flash issues and won't work, it will save the logins and passwords for as long as the computer remains running, but then loses them. I can set up sync, even though I don't use waterfox on any other device, and have no reason to, but then it won't keep me logged in to synch, and I have to relogin to "sync", get an email confirmation, and reply before I can proceed. This is my own desktop, in my own home, where I am the only resident. Additionally, these are game logins, that are useless to anyone. Why can't I save my logins and passwords without going through the hassle of syncing...and why won't that remember and remain logged in on my device? This is frustrating, is there an answer out there, where some setting can be changed to allow this?

This is a support forum for Firefox, not Waterfox.
Waterfox is the 64bit version of Firefox...so it is the same, hence here is where I am supposed to ask this question.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save
Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Well a third-party based on Firefox with their own tweaks.

Win64 Firefox for Windows has been available since Firefox 42.0 and was listed on www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ since Firefox 43.0. No need to use Waterfox just for Win64.

There is a difference between a firefox for a 64 bit OS, and Waterfox, which is a Mozilla product, made with advanced 64 bit capabilities. When I install Waterfox, it puts it ins a Firefox folder, and the help sends me to the Mozilla, Firefox support site. It is firefox...with additions that allow it to use more of the 64 bit capability. Perhaps, instead of arguing with me about where I should be, if you are uninformed, you should keep quiet.

Thanks for that input. I do not have any other software like that. I have a basic anti virus, nothing else. The antivirus is AVG, but I only have the basic, none of the additional protection/PC fix software they offer. I even double checked, to see if there was anything in that which might be interfering, but see nothing....Good thought though

It is You that is uninformed in thinking Waterfox is a Mozilla product. It never has been.
It is made by a third-party. The reason for the name Waterfox was because they did not have permission to use the Firefox name and icons. The authors of Waterfox got their start building Win64 Firefox from source even though Win64 was not considered stable for Releases by Mozilla until Firefox 42.0 Release.
There has been a number of third-party Firefox builds over the years. Waterfox, Cyberfox, Iceweasel, TenFourFox, Palemoon, Light, pcxFirefox just to name some. The were named such because they did not have permission to use the Firefox name and icons.
Pretty much the only third-party Firefox option that has been allowed to use the Firefox name and icons over the years has been portable Firefox. https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
This forum generally does not provide support for third-party Firefox builds here though portable Firefox may get supported to an extent. Waterfox has their own support forum.

As a test, disable your protection. Is the problem still there?
