Hi guys, I had been reading through other topics related to this, to cut things short, my firefox is the latest 59.0.2 (64 bit) and it usually eats up 3000-4000 RAM each time i open it Tried refresh settings but did not work, I hope to avoid reopening another profile because there are a lot of tabs I need for my work Here is the memory file for your perusal. I hope you can help identify for me which components are eating up all those RAM and are unnecessary. Tqvm!

How did you update FF59 or was this a clean install?

Hi WestEnd

If I remember correctly, it was auto update. But I had this problem for a few months, probably already there since the past few versions of FF

Is anyone able to access and troubleshoot the memory file in the ufile.io link i posted?

Hi, this Volunteer Support not developers so to me the memory file means nothing.

As Firefox is a now a multi-thread and multi-processor browser it is expected for it to use ram, I am sitting at 2000.

Please Copy/Paste about:preferences#privacy to the Address Bar then Enter Go down to Permissions and make sure there is a Check Mark in the box for Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser

Then go to General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please. Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on. If you still think a issue Please try : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
