thunderbird takes several minutes to open
Clicking on Thunderbird with no other apps running means a several minute wait for it to open. Once open, it runs at normal speed -- it's just that first open that takes so long. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If the UI works early in startup, open tools > activity manager to see what his happening.
