In Options->General->Language and Appearance->Fonts & Colors I see some colors and some fonts to choose from a dropdown menu. I'm glad to have the option to be able to customize the browser's appearance, but if we have the ability to customize it, why not go all the way and let us the ability to add custom colors/fonts? (in fonts it really would required a 3rd party addition, whether it's a downloaded font or a Firefox add-on, but with colors it's simply giving us the full RGB instead of a selected few). Thanks in advance.

The settings in Options/Preferences you mentioned are not for the Firefox user interface, but are for the appearance of internet pages.

In Language you set the preferred language(s) for a website to use as send via the HTTP request headers. In Fonts & Colors you set default colors that are used when a website doesn't specify its own colors.

  • Options/Preferences -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors

If you choose to override the website colors then you do not see background colors and background images and this can mean that some buttons and other elements are not or hardy visible.

If you need to change colors then best is to use an extension.

You can style the background of the toolbar area with a lightweight theme that provides background images, look one the Addons website for such themes.

Thanks for the reply! I did mean changing the appearance of internet pages, rather than the firefox interface, my mistake. These addons don't fit then. Do you have other suggestions? And tbh, I kinda meant for this to be a feature request, because I'd like Firefox to natively support more options than it currently have.
