Cookie preferences don't stay set
I normally block all cookies. That means that to use some site I have to temporarily accept cookies.
When I block them again my preference to block all cookies is never saved, but always defaults to just blocking third party trackers. It then also resets the separate preference for third party cookies to trackers only (though that becomes moot once I block all cookies).
In previous versions this was something you could just toggle between block/accept and the specific preferences stuck, so I'm hoping I'm experiencing a bug rather than a (stupid) design choice.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
I think that you can call this a design change. There is only one main network.cookie.cookieBehavior pref (value 0-4) that controls the various cookie and third-party settings.

^: yes, but in the current Firefox release there is a '4' value supported for third-party trackers, 0 (zero) means all cookies are accepted.

That's what I was afraid of. I suppose my question is answered, but the problem isn't solved.
It just strikes me as an extremely stupid design change.
