After upgrading from TB 60.3.2 to 60.5.2 I can no longer use the Windows 10 context menu feature of right-clicking on any file and then selecting "sent to -> mail recipient". I used this nice short cut heavily with all previous versions of TB but now being on 60.5.2 I only get the error message as shown in the attached image. Even when I click on "OK", nothing happens in TB. The expected window for a new message does not open up. Any ideas welcome.

It is a bug in the new version. Several threads are discussing and the fix seems to be go back a version until fixed.

Thanks Airmail. I've just found and read https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1248361 all the way thru. And yes, it's definitely a problem of TB, because on my Win10 system with 60.3.2 it worked, then after the upgrade to 60.5.2 it stopped working.

So I'll just sit and wait and watch this space for a fix. :-)

Cheers...

How do I go back a version?

more options

oh dear, just downgraded to 60.3.2 (32-bit) - so back to where I came from. now my calendar tab is gone. not only the tab, there's also no trace of it in the "view" menu, nor can I bring it back with ctrl-shift-c. when opening the advanced editor there's still all my calendar categories and stuff, so how do I get the calendar window back?

Send to - Mail Recipient works again in TB 60.5.2:

The problem I am now having with 60.5.2 is that when I use the Send To > Mail Recipient context menu, the file is immediately sent in a blank email without opening any Write window. Of course it doesn't go anywhere because no To address is filled in, but I have automatic Bcc to myself so get that mail.

Rolling back to 60.5.1 seems to have fixed the problem.

If you upgrade to or install TB 60.5.3, the Send To - Mail Recipient command should work if it worked in the past (unless the file name has non-ASCII characters). But if the MAPI function on your system is broken or ill-defined, it won't matter which version of TB you run.

thanks guys, a re-install of 60.5.2 solved the problem for me. in addition, after upgrading to 60.5.3, send-to still works as expected.
