I want to remove that button. How do?

It wasn't there, now it is. I'm a keyboard shortcut junkie and that blasted thing gets tab focus in the following keyboard shortcut combo:

Alt + D, Tab... Tab, <Focus is now in search box>

That's not a typeable field, it should not get focus especially since

1. the favorites indicator (a control *at the exact same level of UI* doesn't get focus) 2. It is not a tab-focusable control on the New Tab (Ctl+T, Tab, <search>) thus changing the UI "just because"

(What ever happened to keeping FF slim and lean???)

What, nothing? Fuck y'all then, I'm done with Firefox. Sick of this shit where you keep adding useless bloat to the browser, making changes to the UI that make no sense and then refuse to listen to users who keep telling you "STOP".

With all due respect :   you are not the only one posting a question here.

The people who answer questions here are volunteers, users just like you, who are trying to help other users in their spare time.
We're all in different time zones, and have lives outside this support forum.
Just because somebody who might know the answer to your question hasn't posted in your thread yet, you decided to turn your back on Firefox ?

"With all due respect"? You didn't even look things over so you gave no respect.

Posted the question three days ago... There are multiple questions on the same issues with no answers or "this is going to be permanent".

Save it. Your whining doesn't solve the problem that devs have had for years being anti-minimalist, pro-functionality. And instead of coming in with an answer, you just whine.

Bravo.

We're done here. Fuck firefox and fuck people who gotta whine on behalf of others.

I   did   look at your original post, right after it came in.

As it was way over my head,   I decided to move on and hope that someone else would come to your rescue.

As no-one has come up with an answer, I would have tried to see if I could find a solution,   but your attitude doesn't exactly entice me to do so.

A little kindness goes a long way .....
