how to disable adding recently visited sites to top sites?
It annoys me very much that you cannot disable this in the user settings, but most likely it can be in the settings for developers (about:config), but I do not know which specific parameter turns this off. Of course, I can turn off the history altogether and then the sites will not be added, but this is not an option.

What sites do you want to appear in the tiles ?
You can pin websites you want to show to tiles or hide this section if you have no use for it.
