multi row toolbar

I would like more visible space for frequently used bookmarks. I find a single row not very workable after using Firefox for a couple of years. A provision for 2 or 3 rows below the current single row would be very much appreciated. Having done some searching to see if this is currently possible I found that this seems to be of interest to many current uses of Firefox.

Is there a way to do this that I missed? Or what can be done to add this enhancement quickly?

Back in the day, there were add-ons for the Legacy Firefox that did this and much more. But all that has gone the way of the dodo.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

Hi JR, the built-in tools for this all involve a two-click approach:

(1) Overflow menu

Bookmarks that do not fit on the toolbar "overflow" and are available on a drop-down list at the right end of the bar.

(2) Folders

You can create folders on the bar (right-click > Add Folder) and use those to group together bookmarks for similar tasks, leaving just the ones that require the most frequent access directly on the bar.

Unofficial, Community-Supported Option?

In recent years, some users have added height to the Bookmarks Toolbar so that bookmarks could "wrap" to a second and third row. That is done by applying style rule overrides to the bar with a userChrome.css file. I have a general website on userChrome.css files, and I can give you a link to a popular style rule file for the bookmarks toolbar, but I don't use it myself so I don't know how well it works:
