Error 410
When I try and open some articles on the BBC new wesite I get the attached message. How can that be resolved please? VPN is off. Error: 410 Gone Your client has made a request for a BBC domain that is no longer hosted on Akamai, but the request was sent to an Akamai IP address. This suggests your client is using a very out-of-date DNS response, or one that has been altered. If you're using VPN software or similar, try disabling it and / or contact your VPN provider's technical support.

I went to Preferences on my Apple laptop and selected Network, the WiFi & Advanced. I selected DNS, and entered 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 Information gleaned from intetrnet.

Who are you using for DNS? You can open a terminal or console and run nslookup google.com see screenshot

Server: 192.168.178.1 Address: 192.168.178.1#53
Non-authoritative answer: Name: google.com Address: 142.250.200.14
You can also try Firefox in Safe Mode and clear your browser cache. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode#search https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox#w_clear-all-cookies-site-data-and-cache

Good work, but that is what I said from the beginning. I assume you have a router, you will also need to make sure the settings are the same on it.
