Mozilla start page is default but will not open until home icon is pushed
The Mozilla Firefox start page is set up as my default page but all I get is a blank page. When I first open Firefox, the start page comes up; but for all new tabs all I get is blank page and on the the tab it says "New Tab" is there some way making all new tabs go to Firefox start page?

A blank page is the default for a New Tab and there is no setting in Firefox to change it to the Homepage.
You can middle-click the Home button to open a new Tab with your Homepage.
Or you can install this extension to change it to your Homepage.
