Is Firefox available on LG's Optimus U (for U.S. Cellular)?
This isn't a problem, but I have an LG Optimus U (my cell provider is U.S. Cellular). While I saw Optimus models listed among the Android phones for which Firefox is available, I didn't see the U listed. Is Firefox available for my model?

No sorry as this phone is using a older ARMv6 type of cpu as the mobile Firefox is for ARMv7
There were experimental ARMv6 builds before but they were larger, slower and had stability problems that the ARMv7 builds do not have.
As for not listed well it is a variant of the LG Optimus One and is in the same list as the LG Optimus, Optimus M, Optimus T, Optimus S, Optimus V on https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
