Do you see this error message on the actual website www.hotmail.com? If so, this is a problem with Hotmail, not Firefox (maybe they're having some issues on their site). You could verify this by trying to visit Hotmail from another browser (e.g. Internet Explorer). If it works in IE, please reply back here.

I can acces my Hotmail from Safari & my iphone, so the problem is related to Firefox.. where this message has been appearing automatically for 2 days "Sorry, there's a problem with Hotmail right now..." I did have the same problem on Safari till this morning. I reinitialised the app and it now works. I didnt find how to do the same on Firefox so I uninstalled it & telecharged the latest version, reinstalled it & still the same old problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Best

I can access hotmail using IE but not Mozilla - I've had this problem for 2 days now. Is there a solution to this?

The exact same thing is happening to me too!!

For the last two days I get that same message. I can go to create messages, but can't get to the inbox or any other folders. I found out I could get to options so I forwarded the mail to my yahoo acct.

The main thing is I can't read any mail at all on Hotmail from Firefox 9.0.

I searched everywhere and no one seemed to think there was anything wrong with Hotmail. I assumed the servers were down, but they're not.

Then I went to another computer and using Firefox 8.0 it came up.

It will work on my computer but only in IE9.

I've rebooted and still it won't work on Firefox 9.0 (I just upgraded to 9.0 but that didn't help)

I don't see any responses for solutions yet.

Well, it's working now. Not sure what was wrong, but it seems to work. Gave me a chance to use IE9 while Firefox was malfunctioning, so that was probably a good thing.

Guess we'll never know what the problem was...

I had same problem. I used CCleaner to clean up cache files. Did the trick. Can now use Firefox to access my Hotmail account as before. Hope this helps.

hello my name is bob my email is on Hotmail I read your posting and want too say I think there is something wrong with the Hotmail in Mozilla, I fix computers and all I can say on two computers I can access Hotmail on IE and Mozilla on the other two I cannot and on Mozilla but can on IE!
