Firefox version15 will not work windows 7
My Firefox automatically updated to the latest version and then wouldn't work. I can see It starts with task manager but it just disappears. There are no crash dialogue box or reasons given for failure to start. safety mode produces a dialogue box which also disappears seconds after it appears.I have 2 other computers running vista a 32 bit and a 64 bit and no problems with the upgrade. I have tried turning off firewalls etc and deleted all my personal settings but still no joy

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have disabled the firewalls etc. I have allowed the firefox.exe file in the firewall. At this stage I was getting a window saying firefox is not responding so I uninstalled and reinstalled and now am getting nothing again. In task manager I can see it start but then it disappears with no explanation. I can get it to work if I install an earlier version but I cannot go past version 12
