This is about FF 29 on a Lenovo Yoga Tab 8, running Android 4.2.2, Linux 3.4.5. On this devices, FF does not play any embedded media. I have tried i.a. the following URLs: http://www.deutschlandradio.de/radiohoeren-auf-deutschlandradio-de.219.de.html (mp3 live streams ) http://den2radio.dk/udsendelser/folk-danmark-tingluti/ (this is an embedded mp3 file) and various videos on blip.tv Embedded ogg audio works. so it seems that the problem concerns proprietary media formats, which require extra codecs. The device come with Google Chrome preinstalled, which plays all the files out of the box. BTW, the same URLs work just fine with Firefox on another Android device I have, a HTC Desire Z phone, running a Cyanogenmod based rom also based on Android 4.2.2 In the FF settings on the Lenovo tablet, I enabled plugins globally, so this shouldn't be the cause.

Now, when I try to listen to one of the mp3 streams at http://www.deutschlandradio.de/radiohoeren-auf-deutschlandradio-de.219.de.html, firefox invariably crashes.

Works find for me, quick question, did you block anything with Adblock Edge for that site? Even disabling everywhere in that add on I cannot get it to crash.

However my graphics are: Modiel: SM-N900T, Product: hltetmo, Manufacturer:samsung...oh wait there is goes!

I found the culprit, try disabling the AdBlock edge while listening for a bit and see if it crashes.

Adblock edge was already disabled when I reported the issue. Also, removing it did not change the situation. Firefox invariablly creashes as before.

Again, the problem occurs, when firefox tries to play proprietary, non-free formats. It does not crash over ogg audio streams.

Is flash installed on the device?
