i am running Firefox 17 and only get this error in this browser. unfortunately i cannot update bc our clients use this browser at the moment. i basically have a screen where i'm showing a drop down list and when i scroll down on the page and click the drop down (which has moved up higher on the page since i scrolled down), the drop down flickers then instead of showing the drop down items below the drop down list, it shows it in the default location that it would have shown before i scrolled down. any ideas why?

I am on Windows 7 Enterprise edition. On dual monitors but this is happening on my primary monitor. I have disabled/enabled hardware acceleration and updated all display drivers. I have restarted and tried in safe mode unsuccessfully as well. no console errors. works in all other browsers. did i miss anything?

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is and what it does. Also, check the programs that are on your computer

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Go thru the list. If you find something that you don't know what it is, use a web search.

Thanks for the reply. I have checked my add-ons list as well as programs on my computer and didnt find anything. any other suggestions? this particular page i'm on is using knockout.js if that helps... ?

when i click the drop down after i have scrolled down on the page, it does flicker/blink in the correct location below the testbox (with arrow) but then it displays the dropdown list items in the default location before the scroll, as if the page's coordinates on the page load was being used to render the drop down items in the initial location where it would have been (if that makes any sense)...

attached is a screen shot of the issue i'm running across. i basically have a custom grid. i scroll down and then click an add button to add an item which dynamically adds a row to the grid. the drop down items/list now show in the location where it would have displayed initially (on page load) before i scrolled down.

Any valid reason for using such an old version?

Are you aware that Firefox 17 is no longer supported? Firefox 32 is the current release version.
