filters on server no longer working
I have setup filters on the server for my email account (cPanel). They used to work such that when TB got new email, it would put the messages into specified folders. But for some reason, that stopped working. The messages are filtered properly on the server, but in TB, they just stay in the Inbox. I must have messed up something in the config in TB but I can't find anything related. Thanks.

re; setup filters on the server So these filters were not set up in Thunderbird. the server correctly moves the mail into various server folder.
What type of mail account are you using Pop or IMAP?
Right, the filters were setup on the server, not in TB. On the server, the email is moved to the correct folder but this move does not show up in TB. I'm using IMAP.
I just started using TB & it was working when I first set it up. Maybe I accidentally messed up something in TB's configuration but I can't figure out what it would be.
Strange things are happening that I don't understand. When I first setup the filters on the server, when emails came in, they would automatically go the the correct folders in TB. Then, that stopped working but if I clicked the "apply filters" on the server, then the emails in my Inbox would move to the correct folders.
Then that stopped working & the emails just stayed in my Inbox. Now the "apply filters" button is working again. Between when nothing was working & now, I change NOTHING (that I know of).
What is going on here? It's very frustrating.
So even though it sort of works, it should really happen automatically without me having to click on anything. How can I get it to work automatically ... and stay that way? Thanks.
