I want better tools to manage Firefox bookmarks (are there even any ???)
Win7 (will convert to Win8 or Win10 if I ever get up the nerve)
I want better (are there even any ???) tools for managing Firefox bookmarks. For example, I want to be able to:
--- Move bookmarks in blocks --- Delete blocks of bookmarks --- Sort blocks of bookmarks --- Others that I can't think of cause this is my first post and I wasn't primed to ask questions
Also, not directly related to bookmarks I routinely get error messages about a script being busy and do I want to wait for the script to finish or do I want to stop the script. Firefox freezes (several minutes) and the buttons to stop the script has no effect nor does the check-box to suppress the error message work. What is going on ???
I much prefer Firefox. I just want it to be easier for ME to use.

You can select multiple bookmarks in the usual way via Shift for a range and Ctrl for individual bookmarks. You can use Cut and Paste to move this block and delete to delete the selected items. It is not possible to sort such a selection because sorting is only available for folders and not for individual bookmarks.

Thanks for the reply. I always looked for the ability to do cut and paste from the list on the main page. I like intuitive "sound bytes" simple quick help solutions and was expecting how to be a simple message discoverable by point and click !!!
It appears the information you provided will require some study but I will prevail !!!

Note that you can do this in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).
