Cntl + C doesn't work to copy text to clipboard. (I tried "Refresh Firefox" but that didn't help. Version 44.0.2 running on WinXP)
Truly bizarre. I just tried Cntl+C to copy this (I tried "Refresh Firefox" but that didn't help. Version 44.0.2 running on WinXP) from my initial question above and paste it here in details, and it worked.
However I still cannot paste into Word, which is the problem I am having.
I tried copying/pasting to/from an Email (Outlook Express) and that seems to work normally. The same text that I was able to copy and paste local to this page pasted into an Email, but will not paste into Word Text copied (Cntl+C) from Word will paste (Cntl+V) here and in the Email. Text copied from an Email will paste here and into Word. Why can't I copy from Firefox and paste into Word?

Do you have an older copy of Word?
The current Firefox release places Unicode content on the clipboard and this can cause issues with Unicode unaware applications. This change will be reversed in Firefox 45. A possible workaround is to do a paste and copy in another application (editor) to fix the clipboard and then paste it in the application.

Older version indeed - Word 97 8-)
I was thinking the same thing - paste into an Email and then recopy and repaste into Word. Kind of a pain, but it's certainly faster than retyping a whole paragraph.
