I don't want Firefox to automatically save files (like in the downloads folder) I just want to view them. I can't find how to do this? It only gives me options to save in designated folder, or ask me which folder.

hi, you can generally configure the default action for certain filetypes in the firefox menu ≡ > options > applications panel. in case your bank statements come as pdf files look out for the "portable document format".

web-servers can also specifically trigger a download of any file though - if you want to circumvent that and use the default file action set in the applications-panel instead you could use the following addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/inlinedisposition/
