Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a download manager.

YouTube doesn't want their stuff to be downloaded, just viewed.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a download manager.

You likely had one of the Youtube download extensions and perhaps it is not working. This is not a feature that Firefox comes with.
