I have Windows 7-64bit with Firefox 32bit browser installed. Will I notice an improvement if I upgrade to Firefox 64-bit?

Currently I have Windows 7 64-bit with 3GB RAM running the latest version of Firefox 51.0.1 (32-bit). When I start Firefox I have two instances of firefox.exe *32.exe in my task manager processes. Would I gain any added performance by upgrading to Firefox 64-bit version? The two 32-bit .exe files generate about 240K memory process. Both services shut-down when I close Firefox--no virus or other issue.

Is that really 3 GB RAM?

3 GB isn't that much, especially not on a 64 bit platform because that uses up memory twice as fast (allocation size is 64 bits instead of 32 bits on a 32 bit platform). 8 GB should be the minimum on a 64 bit platform, compared to 4 GB on a 32 bit platform. With that low on RAM resources it is probably be best to stay with a 32 bit release.

Seeing multiple (two) processes in current releases is quite normal now that multi-process tabs has been enabled.
