I have been using the following for many years to download YouTube videos:

                                  Download YouTube Videos as MP4
                                  DownThemAll!
                                  Video DownloadHelper

As recently as 08/25/2017 everything worked.

When I tried today I found that the button/options are no longer there. I checked the videos I downloaded last week to confirm something has changed.

I am using FireFox 54.0, Windows 8.1 (64-bit), Verizon Fios. I have confirmed the same happens on my Laptop (same parameters), and my wife's computer running Windows 10 (FireFox 54.0, Verizon Fios)

I tried using a gmail account to log into YouTube with the same results. I grabbed another download program for Firefox with no change.

This site recommends http://www.ithemesforests.com/how-to-download-youtube-videos-with-firefox-in-any-format/ But all that does is show "This add-on has been removed by its author." (Note: This link should be removed.)

Any help out there?

I use this downloader and have few problems;

https://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-Download.htm Use this YouTube downloader to get single videos and complete playlists, show list, charts and user channels from YouTube. Convert to AVI, MP3, WMV.

As to the bad link, you need to contact that web page support.

I also found the "add-on has been removed" I tried the above link which does work but is much much longer. Does anyone know why the download button has disappered ?

Free Youtube Downloader (https://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-Download.htm) appears to be a "work around" however it neither solves the problem nor does it explain what has happened.

BTW, there is no difference with Chrome.

That implies it is a YouTube thing.

I tried this link and discovered, not to my surprise, that this is ONLY a PC app... no Mac app to be found.

Will Firefox please remedy this situation?? Sooner than later would be wonderful!

This download manager works separately from the browser. The browser tells it what to download, and off it goes.

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org It is a powerful modern download accelerator and organizer for Windows and Mac.
