Weird add on problem won't allow video to play

more options

This problem deals with an adult website. But I won't mention the name of the site unless asked.

Videos do not play. I click on the video and absolutely nothing happens. If, from the help menu, I "restart with addons disabled" the the videos play. Must be a problem with one of the addons right? disable all and enable one at a time until culprit is found, right?

Nope. If I manually disable ALL of the addons the videos still won't play. They only play if I use the disable option in the help menu.

Why doesn't manually disabling the addons have the same effect as the disable option in the help menu?

That shouldn't make a difference. According to your system details you have only five active add-ons - the only add-on that could possibly cause this (that I can think of) might be
uBlock Origin.

We definately do not want to know the name of that site.

If you have this problem on that site only, and the videos do play with add-ons disabled : then maybe try and find out which of the add-ons you have active is the 'culprit', or use the "restart with add-ons disbled" option.

If however, there are other sites where videos won't play : please let us know, for then there will be other things to try.
