My download option was "always ask," which allowed me to choose the location for saving a downloaded file. It has always worked as designed (clicking on the Download Report button in an application let me specify the download location). After switching the option and then switching back, the option is no longer working.

Here's what I did:

1. I changed the option to "save" and selected a location. 2. I tested the new setting by clicking on the Download Report button, and it worked as designed (that is, there was no field where I could specify a download location). 3, I changed the option back to "always ask." 4. I clicked on the Download Report button, but the window for selecting what to do did not have the field for selecting the download location. 5. I closed all my open Firefox windows. 6. I opened a new Firefox window and checked the option setting. It was still set to "always ask." 7. I opened the application and clicked on the Download Report button. The window for selecting what to do did not have the field for selecting the download location.

How do I get the "always ask" option to again work as designed?

NEVER MIND. I don't know where my head was. This is working as designed.
