what i tried to open e.g. this whatsapp api link(https://wa.me/*mobile number*), firefox reverted with this error msg:-

The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (whatsapp) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

You might need to install other software to open this address. --- Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

The whatsapp hotlinks are supposed to be opened on mobile devices where Whatsapp is installed. They are not intended to be opened on Desktop devices, which is why it won't work.
