This font does not work on windows FF: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Quicksand On left chrome, on the right FF: https://i.imgur.com/5RSbTCs.jpg

It works on Chrome, IE11, ubuntu/kubuntu FF and sometimes on mac FF but not windows FF. Only place where it does work is on the official google page (linked above).

Did you make sure that you do not zoom the page?

You may have accidentally zoomed web page(s). Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View -> Zoom -> Reset (Ctrl+0/Command+0 (zero))

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Options/Preferences -> General: Performance
    remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
    remove checkmark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make the change effective.
