I use Windows 10 and have Firefox v 18.01 installed. I have the box checked "Check your spelling as you type" in Options under General > Language. It doesn't work though. Is that option no longer working in Firefox or do I need to do something else to get Spellcheck to work?

In all the search results on Google for turning on Spellcheck, it says to go to the Advanced tab. I do not have an Advanced tab. The only ones listed are General, Home, Search, Privacy & Security, Firefox Account.

Are we talking ESR or Standard FireFox? Is this the Firefox spellchecker or addon checker?

I just installed Windows 10 last week and went to Firefox and downloaded what was offered as the most recent version and installed it. Firefox is set to update the browser as updates become available.

If you have a link for a more recent versions of Firefox, please post it.

You appear to have posted this thread while using Firefox 62.0 (62.0.3 is current) and not the ancient 18.0.1 version.

Only a few locales like en-US comes with a Dictionary so if you need a language to spell check with you need to install a dictionary. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/language-tools/
