When on Firefox, via the icon I have in my dock, (mac os mojave), an additional firefox icon will appear and disappear. This pop up icon has a little computer screen on it. What is it and it's pretty distracting. This is a new computer, but I've used firefox for years and never saw this before.

Make sure Firefox gets installed properly.

Open the Firefox Disk Image file and drag the Firefox application to the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the Disk Image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.

Hi 3birdsandadog,

I understand that your dock is showing another (glitching)Firefox icon which isn't supposed to be there. Some contributors recommend solutions to similar issues :

My Firefox icon is damaged on my iMac, how can I repair? {link}

I hope this helps!

Thanks to those who wrote to help. I had to reinstall twice. I've been a mac user for at 20 years and used Firefox for at least 5 and never saw anything like that, ie, the little computer inside of the extra icon.I wasn't sure if this was something extra thrown in that I wasn't working properly, or what! But I think it's fixed as of now. Thanks again.
