Firefox updated to version 89 last night and since then I cannot properly view certain websites I use regularly such as BBC news and Vimeo (have uploaded pic to show). I have restarted computer, and turned off hardware acceleration and cleared cache and cookies - these don't help. If I start in safe mode it's all fine - I've disabled any extensions and themes and tried again but the problem is still there. All was fine before the update. Not sure what to do next.

Just to add that a new profile didn't change anything, nor did turning off enhanced privacy.

Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes), any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem. If the problem goes away, that tells us one thing. If it does not, that tells us something else.

Hi - no as I mentioned above a new profile does not change anything. Everything works fine in safe mode. After trying safe mode I turned off extensions and themes, hardware acceleration, add ins and that didn't help. I can't find any info on what settings safe mode changes so that I can test those out to see if they fix the problem.

What theme are you using? Have you tried the default?

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Appearance or Themes. Then select Default. Now restart Firefox.

Yes I've disabled all themes, add ons etc. and problem is still there.

Hi, I encountered the same problem after the recent Firefox update to v.89 (common websites loading, but not working properly).

Then I tried opening Firefox in safe mode, while in that process choosing the "refresh"-button - and now everything seems to work fine again :-)) So far so good, I think/hope ...
