Hi there, I'm facing a weird problem with YouTube. I don't know whether it has something to do with their server or the Firefox browser, but when I'm watching video there, every time when I'm playing the next video or click another video to be play, by the next page YouTube suddenly logged me out for no reason. I thought it must be the YouTube server was having problem.

So to confirmed my assumption, I did the same thing on other browsers. Well, it work fine and YouTube didn't suddenly logged me out. From that, I knew it was Firefox browser was the problem. I tried to delete all the history and the other data, uninstall and re-install Firefox, and sign-out and sign-in my Firefox account. I did those things for like 3 times but it still happening.

I'm hoping that Firefox could fix this issue as soon as possible, cuz yeah I preferred using Firefox browser instead of others.

Thanks in advance...

ok so first check that 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' is enabled in about:preferences#privacy so if it's enabled disable it or go to manage exceptions and add https://www.youtube.com as exception.

or if you have a extention installed to delete cookies try it off.

Well, it didn't work. Still being suddenly logged out. But yeah my Google and other website accounts still intact, doesn't seem to be disturbed with this problem...

Profile data can be removed or not recorded in several ways;

  • 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
  • 2) Privacy settings; (In the address bar, type about:preferences#privacy<enter>)
  • 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers
    Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone.
  • 4) Mal-ware.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Remove History For One Site {web link}

Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any site settings
