Recent release notes say that Firefox automatically enables High Contrast Mode when "Increase Contrast" is checked on MacOS. It can be turned off in FF settings under General -> Colors -> Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above -> Never.

Hey there! I use an iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017) so I have some experience on a mac. have you tried retarting your computer? The result you're getting is really weird. Do try to restart or if that doesn't work, try to manually force quit Firefox and see what happens.
Hope I helped!
Kind regards,
Bithiah
It did not help, thanks for the tip.
I am very sorry. Guess I need to file a case for you. How about that?

@TyDraniu - I can't find these ff settings but I did have Increase Contrast checked. When turning it off all is back to normal. Thank You.
It still looks like a bug, though, as it is way harder to find things with Increased Contrast which supposed to help people with visual problems.
it is largely fixed but for example this website https://live.primaltracking.com/2021sevensisters/ - I dont see the small green and orange balloons representing the participants. I guess I can live with it.
