Credit card autofill stopped working
I am in the USA. Every time, on any page or website that I need to provide credit card info, when I click in the box to type in the CC numbers/expiration date/CCV, a window pops up as it should (for auto-fill) with my credit card information. In that window, I can scroll over the different credit cards, click on the one I want to use, and it SHOULD auto-fill into the box where the numbers would normally be typed in. Now, the window still pops up and I can scroll over the credit cards and choose one, but when I click on any of the particular credit cards, the auto-fill doesn't work. The boxes in "settings" are checked to allow auto-fill. It worked for months, then just stopped. Thanks for your assistance!

I think I have finally discovered the problem. At some recent update the card numbers were dropped. When I go in to edit the saved cards, the rest of the information is there but the card number is blank. I edited the cards to make sure all entries are now complete.

autofill may not work for some forms with dynamic content and high security. Sample //www.amazon.com/
It doesn't work EVER.
Hello,
Could you verify that the following settings in about:config are set to true?
WARNING from the moderator team: Changing Firefox pref from the about:config page can sometimes break Firefox or cause strange behavior. You should only do this if you know what you're doing.
Please read Firefox Advanced Customization and Configuration Options to learn more.

I have no idea what that means. Also, I got this from Firefox: "WARNING from the moderator team: Changing Firefox pref from the about:config page can sometimes break Firefox or cause strange behavior. You should only do this if you know what you're doing."
Enter "about:config" and visit that page, skip the warning (but be sure to read it and not blame us in case something happens) and copy the given lines below and let us know if they both are set to true.

Best Regards, Chris.

Thank you SO much Tad for solving this one! I would have never thought to check in "saved cards" to see if my credit card #'s were missing, but that turned out to be the case. Amelia, I appreciate your effort to help but looking into about:config turned out to be going down a rabbit hole.
I checked them and just thought that was a security thing. It's so weird, because the last 4 digits are there. In any case, thanks Tad!

That was it. But I think it had something to do with me resetting the system's keychain. Firefox puts a key for some sort of encrypted storage there, and if it's lost, access to credit card numbers is lost, too.
