Firefox keeps "Not Responding" randomly, then comes back after 10-15 Seconds.
Every now and then, when I'm on Firefox it will not respond then the window will fill white and at the top it will say "Mozilla Firefox (Not Responding)".
It responds after about 10-15 seconds but this keeps happening every 2-3 Minutes and is making Firefox unusable to watch videos on Youtube and read other things as when it starts responding it take me back to the top of the page.
I cannot pinpoint which websites this is on but it normally (But not always) happens when I have more than one tab open (Usually on Youtube + SammyServers.com)

This seems to work for me. Just deleted "places.sqlite" from the Profile Directory under Help/Troubleshooting.
When you deleted "places.sqlite" did you loose your bookmarks?
Apparently, there could be some implications to deleting this file, but if this is indeed the solution and can be confirmed by others then I am willing to try it ... or almost anything else that solves this problem..
It may have deleted bookmarks, but I use Xmarks, so they may have been restored through that. All I know for sure is the bookmarks were still there, but the icons associated with the bookmarks disappeared. I had to click on each one bookmark and the icons appeared in my bookmark list again. I have not had a repeat of the not responding problem sine I deleted the file.
So I took the plunge following the instructions and deleted "places.sqlite", unfortunately I was not able to regain many icons associated with the bookmarks and clicking on these did not restore the icon.
I have an exported backup of the bookmarks and wonder if restoring via import will correct the missing bookmark icons?
In any event, I am hopeful this will resolve the FF freezing problem and I will report back so others will know the outcome.
OK it appears there is a difference, a site that has live cameras in various cities now appears to work mostly fine. Occasionally, FF does freeze but usually when associated with the fash plugin crashed message when it comes up.
Hope others can provide their observations of how this fix worked for them.
Google 'Firemin'. It fixes the memory leak in Firefox and stops the hanging and 'Not Responding'. I thangyooo ...
