OS is Ubuntu 10.04, when I receive an email it is preceeded by a lengthy header which includes several lines of code. How con I eliminate this?

I am using Mozilla Firefox with Ubuntu 10.04 When I receive an email the normal header is extended by several lines of senders address detail, message routing and strings of letters/symbols which look rather like source code. There must be a way I can turn this off Help please

Firefox doesn't do email, sounds like a support question for your webmail service.
