I know to click on the star to bring up information on the bookmark but...

This bookmark is a redirect and shows no origin folder.

Searching bookmarks never shows the folder it is in.

But I did find this bookmark after nearly half an hour of searching. Firefox's search should show the folder the bookmark is in.

If you open the bookmark in a tab then you can click the yellow highlighted star at the right hand side of the location bar to open the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog. That dialog show in which folder a bookmark is located if you click the arrow at the far right of the Folder line.

Not if the web site is redirected. The redirected site is then not in the bookmarks.

Also does not work if the folder is buried in other folders.
