I have attempted this several times - as visiting certain sites that prompt for downloading Flash to use their site, and by downloading and installing the FLASH plugin for Firefox from the Adobe site directly. No errors are given on the installation, but the 64 bit Firefox does not show this plugin installed - nor does it work. I can't get the JAVA plugin to install and work either. It installs - but does not show up.

I suspect it's an issue with the 64 bit version - perhaps the plugin is not being installed in the correct directory. I am going to uninstall the 64 bit version and see if the 32 bit version will install and work with plugins correctly.

Try Flash 11 beta: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html

Make sure to get the 64 bit version.
