How can I remove the many versions of Java that have been disabled by Firefox upgrades and therefore have no 'remove' button?

Firefox just updated itself to 7.0.1 and gave a message that Java Console 6.0.26 was incompatible and therefore disabled. The add-ons/extensions tab lists versions 6.0.22, 6.0.23, 6.0.24 and 6.0.26 - all of which are disabled. The only add-ons with 'Remove' buttons are the ones that work and I don't want to remove.

Hi UK_Aspie,

depending on which OS u're running, the path might change. however, try deleteing

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\ folder and delete the "{CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0018-ABCDEFFEDCBA}

Deleting all of the CAFEEFAC folders, will remove the useless java extensions you have

hope this helps Regards
