I just installed FF 7.01 today and it's crashing constantly. EVERY version of FF from 4.0 has crashed on me. The only version of FF I can use. 3.6.23. I'm currently in Safe mode and it hasnt crashed YET. I'm in 7.01 right now...

Note Babylon related software is sometimes associated with Firefox problems.

Try in firefox's safe mode

  • do not make changes in the first window, just click on continue
  • use only the default themes
  • if problems persist then whilst still in safe mode disable all plugins
  • see also troubleshooting extensions and themes

If crashes continue then see firefox crashes

I run several versions of Firefox on XPs without crashes, so I would hope the problem is solvable and due to something on your system.
