i posted on a question thread and it was chosen as an answer but i was wondering if the owner of the thread chose the answer or did someone else. the last post was of someone kindda rude and looks like he might have locked the thread to prevent anyone to keep discussing the post.

You dug up a 4 month old thread to provide an answer, not ask a question. The "Owner" probably solved that problem 4 months ago, and when the notification of a new response to that thread came by email, the "Owner" probably clicked the Solved hyperlink in that email instead of looking at the thread that was resolved to his satisfaction 5 months ago.

I didn't lock that thread, must have been another moderator or an Admin. I was looking forward to a spirited response from you. As to whether my response was rude or not, your last posting was rude to me by saying that I must have been answering another thread.

That thread - importing bookmarks not possible in the new firefox, help

Used to import the .json-files fromthe external HD after upgrading firefox and win7.
To my surprise it is not possible in the last version of FF to import.json-files. How can I transfer the .json-file into HTML-files?

One more time - you can't import a JSON backup file, regardless of whether it is renamed or not. JSON files have to be restored. The "Owner" must have been mistaken when he said that he had been importing the JSON backup files in past versions.
